RESOLUTION: 2008-103
A RESOLUTION: MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is
vital to the success of town government and the democratic proc~ss; and
WHEREAS, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing
recommendations concerning town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and
pleasure on these advisory boards; and
WHEREAS, on July 24,2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a
procedure concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions; and
WHEREAS, four vacancies exist on the Planning Commission.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
appoints the following to the Planning Commission: Ad Barnes is reappointed to a term to
ending June 30, 2010; Brett Burk and Ted Kalreiss are reappointed to terms ending June 30,
2012; and Mary Harper and David Miles are appointed to terms ending June 30, 2012.
