A RESOLUTION: MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE UTILITY RATE ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is
vital to the success of town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing
recommendations concerning town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and
pleasure on these advisory boards; and
WHEREAS, on July 24,2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a
procedure concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions; and
WHEREAS, four vacancies exist on the Utility Rate Advisory Committee.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
appoints the following to the Utility Rate Advisory Committee: John Drury is reappointed to a
term to ending June 30, 2010; Frank Holtz is reappointed to a term ending June 30, 2012; and
Fred Hetzel and Scott Steinkirchner are appointed to terms ending June 30, 2012.
PASSED this 7th day of July 2008.
