HomeMy Public PortalAbout2008_07_08_r105 - TLSE 2008-0002 LC Fire and Rescue Warehouse The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED: July 8. 2008 RESOLUTION NO. 2008-105 ADOPTED: July 8. 2008 A RESOLUTION: APPROVING SPECIAL EXCEPTION TLSE-2008-0002, LOUDOUN COUNTY FIRE & RESCUE WAREHOUSE OUTDOOR STORAGE TO PERMIT OUTDOOR STORAGE IN SEA CONTAINERS AS PART OF SUITE 103, 14 CARDINAL PARK DRIVE, SE IN THE CARDINAL INDUSTRIAL PARK. WHEREAS, The Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management has requested special exception approval to permit outdoor storage containers at the existing flex/industrial building at 14 Cardinal Park Drive, SE on Lot 5A within the Cardinal Industrial Park; and WHEREAS, the property is located in the 1-1 Industrial Research Park Zoning District; and WHEREAS, on June 5, 2008 the Planning Commission recommended conditional approval of this application; and WHEREAS, on July 8, 2008 the Town Council held a public hearing; and WHEREAS, the proposed use meets the special exception standards for outdoor storage as set forth in the Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS, staff recommends approval, with the conditions set forth below. THEREFORE, RESOL VED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby approves Special Exception application TLSE- 2008-0002, Loudoun County Fire & Rescue Warehouse Outdoor Storage, 14 Cardinal Park Drive, SE, identified in the Loudoun County Land Records as Parcel Identification Number 189-18-8631, subject to the following conditions: -2- A RESOLUTION: APPROVING SPECIAL EXCEPTION TLSE-2008-0002, LOUDOUN COUNTY FIRE & RESCUE WAREHOUSE OUTDOOR STORAGE TO PERMIT OUTDOOR STORAGE IN SEA CONTAINERS AS PART OF SUITE 103, 14 CARDINAL PARK DRIVE, SE IN THE CARDINAL INDUSTRIAL PARK Substantial Conformance: 1. Development of this special exception use shall be in substantial conformance with the Special Exception Plat titled Special Exception Plan for Fire and Rescue Warehouse dated February 18,2008. No Expressed or Implied Waivers: 2. Approval ofthe special exception does not express or imply any waiver or modification of the requirements set forth in the Subdivision and Land Development Regulations, the Zoning Ordinance, or the Design and Construction Standards Manual (DCSM) except as specifically approved by Town Council or as shown as approved by Town Council on the Special Exception Plat and supporting documents. Number of Permitted Containers: 3. No more than four cargo (sea) containers shall be permitted. The containers shall be limited in size to a maximum of 40'x 8' each. Temporary Use: 1. The outdoor storage special exception use shall expire with the termination of the County of Loudoun's lease of 14 Cardinal Park Drive, Suite 103.
