WHEREAS, Eddie Low joined the City of Bothell as a Civil Engineer on July 8, 1985,
when the City's population was under 10,000 people; and
WHEREAS, Eddie has honorably served the citizens of Bothell for over 37 years
during which time the population has increased to 45,000; and
WHEREAS, Eddie has distinguished himself throughout his career through the quality
of his work, the breadth and depth of his knowledge, and the respect he has earned
from his colleagues, managers, elected officials, funding partners, and members of
the public; and
WHEREAS, Eddie's dedication, positive influence, high level of customer service,
thorough staff work, and quality projects have made a significant contribution to the
Bothell community; and
WHEREAS, Eddie has been a friend and mentor to his colleagues, encouraging
their own professional growth; and
WHEREAS, Eddie was a major contributor to the Bothell community as it exists today
by directing the planning, design, and construction of the City's infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Eddie is known for securing funding for City projects from a variety of
sources throughout his career, including $48.8 million in 2022 alone; and
WHEREAS, we celebrate Eddie's invaluable contributions of service and friendship;
and
WHEREAS, we wish Eddie all the best as he retires from the City and enjoys the next
chapter of his life.
NOW, THEREFORE I, Mason Thompson, Mayor of the City of Bothell, do hereby
proclaim the City of Bothell's appreciation to Eddie Low for his many contributions to
the City of Bothell and our greater community.
