A RESOLUTION: MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE TECHNOLOGY AND
COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is
vital to the success of town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing
recommendations concerning town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and
pleasure on these advisory boards; and
WHEREAS, on July 24, 2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a
procedure concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
the following individuals are appointed to serve on the Technology and Communications
Commission:
Sandra Smallwood is appointed to a term expiring June 30, 2010; Evan Macbeth, Marc
LeMaitre, and Tom Coleman, are appointed to terms expiring June 30, 2012; and Oliver Peters.
Jr. and J. B. Anderson are appointed to terms expiring June 30, 2010.
