RESOLUTION: 2008-112
A RESOLUTION: MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE STANDING RESIDENTIAL
TRAFFIC COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is
vital to the success of town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing
recommendations concerning town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and
pleasure on these advisory boards; and
WHEREAS, on July 24,2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a
procedure concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions; and
WHEREAS, seven vacancies exist on the Standing Residential Traffic Committee.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
appoints the following to the Standing Residential Traffic Committee: Donald Eaves, and Sandy
Kane, are reappointed to two-year terms to end June 30, 2010; Liz Whiting is reappointed to a
one-year term ending June 30, 2009; Ned Kiley and Paul Corcoran are appointed to two-year
terms ending June 30, 2010; and Frank Holtz and Cristiane Vila Verde are appointed to one-year
terms ending June 30, 2009.
PASSED this 8th day of July 2008.
