PRESENT: Mayor Brad Andersen, Council members Dennis McArthur, Steve Elliott,
Jane Shaw, Dan Gubler, Work Supervisor Zech Prouse, City Clerk Betty McKinlay.
VISITORS: Lynn Smith from United Mailing Direct
The Mayor brought the meeting to order. He invited the Council to attend the Zoning/
Subdivision Seminar which will be held March 8th at the Red Lion in Idaho Falls.
Mayor Andersen turned the time over to City Clerk Betty McKinlay to explain to the
Council the process she does to get the water billing out each month. Lynn Smith from
United Mailing Direct explained the process they do. They can print the water bills in
twenty minutes. There can be one insert in the envelope along with the water bill.
Lynn's company would print the bill and send. The Council felt it might free up some
time for Betty.
Council member Dan Gubler asked about contracting the waste disposal. The Mayor
asked Dan if he would check into the cost etc.
The Mayor discussed Police Officer SanDee Knowles and her resigning. The Mayor
talked to Bonneville County and they suggested three options (1) we get someone who is
retired and has the police background, (2) just get a code enforcement officer and (3)
contract with the Bonneville County. Council member Dan Gubler suggested a sub
station here in our building. The Mayor said he would talk to Bonneville County and see
what it would cost. The Mayor will get a gift certificate for SanDee Knowles.
