HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-20-1960VILLAGE OF MEDINA HAMEL, MINNESOTA PLAINING COMMISSION MEETING The meeting of the Medina Village Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Fortin at 8:20 P.M. on June 20, 1960. Attending were Kenneth Fortin, Herb Gaspar, Gerald Dykhoff, Ella Christensen and Anne Theis. The Minutesof the Planning Commission meeting of May 16, 1960 were read and approved as read. Mr Robert Feser explained to the members his wish to build a home one part now and complete it later. The portion he wishes to build now is about 24 feet square and the total house is about 60 x 30 feet. There was a discussion on bonding for subsequent completion in the amount of $2500.00. A motion by Ella Christensen to recommend approval of bond- ing from the date of the Building Permit for a period of three years. The Bond to be drawn up to the satisfaction of the Village Attorney. Motion seconded by Herb Gaspar. Carried. Kenneth Fortin stated that he had had a question concerning whether or not a 2 acre piece with about 196 foot front by 500 foot deep could be divided into 2 lots. Members saw no definite reason that this could not be done. A discussion on the needs of Medina for a recreation program was held. Motion by Herb Gaspar to recommend to the Council to appoint a three man Committee for study on a recreation program. Seconded by Ella Christensen. Carried. ‹Ove-5). There was a discussion on whether or not it was necessary for a person wit. a one acre piece to provide footage on one side to allow access to acres in the back.
