This Committee Report was presented verbally by Councilor Palomba at
the 3/9/10 Town Council Meeting. The Council voted to accept the report.
Meeting of the Committee on Rules and Ordinances
Wednesday, March 3, 2010
Present: Councilor Anthony Palomba, Chair
Councilor John Donohue, Vice Chair
Councilor John Lawn, Secretary
Council President Mark Sideris
Jen Thomas, Watertown TAB Reporter
Councilor Palomba opened the meeting at 6:45 PM and presented a
draft of the Council Rules for review by the Committee. Councilor
Palomba explained that the draft included suggested changes
offered by former and present Town Councilors.
The draft was reviewed in detail by the members of the Committee
for the next 45 minutes. The Committee decided that the Chair
would create a second draft for review by the Committee at a
subsequent Committee Meeting. Following that meeting, Councilor
Palomba will create a third draft for distribution and review by the
full Council.
President Sideris suggested that there be a section of the rules
dedicated to definitions of terms used in the Rules and Councilor
Palomba suggested that a table of contents also be added.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:45 PM.
