RESOLUTION NO. 2008-140
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING THE REDIRECTION OF THE LOUDOUN COUNTY RED
CROSS CHAPTER FY 2009 COMMUNITY AGENCY GRANT OF $2,500
TO THE CHAPTER'S EMERGENCY SERVICES PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the FY 2009 Adopted Operating Budget includes funding for a community
agency grant to the Loudoun County Red Cross Chapter in the amount of $2,500 to assist with
providing senior medical transportation services; and
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Red Cross Chapter has discontinued providing senior
medical transportation services due to financial considerations; and
WHEREAS, in an August 11, 2008 letter to the Town Manager, the Board of Directors of
the Loudoun County Red Cross Chapter requested approval to redirect its FY 2009 community
agency grant to the Chapter's emergency services program.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in V A as follows:
The Town Council of Leesburg, V A hereby authorizes the Loudoun County Red Cross
Chapter to redirect its FY 2009 community agency grant of $2,500 from its senior transportation
services program to its emergency services program to provide these services to the residents of the
Town of Leesburg and Loudoun County.
