A RESOLUTION:
ENDORSING TOWN PARTICIPATION IN THE DODONA MANOR
VETERAN'S DAY COMMEMORATION
WHEREAS, Dodona Manor was the Leesburg home of General George C. Marshall; and
WHEREAS, the restoration of Dodona Manor stands as a tribute to General Marshall
and the outstanding work he did in combat and peace during the 2nd World War; and
WHEREAS, Dodona Manor is an outstanding setting to commemorate the work and
sacrifices of the veterans of all wars this Veterans Day; and
WHEREAS, Dodona Manor has requested the Town's participation in this event by
providing logistical advice, limited public relations support, and the use of tables and chairs for
the event.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The Town Council endorses Leesburg's participation in the Dodona Manor Veteran's
Day Commemoration, and that the Town's participation would include providing logistical
advice, limited public relations support, and the use of tables and chairs the use of tables.
