AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8 -26 OF THE
GREENCASTLE CITY CODE REGARDING
SCHEDULE OF LIMITED PARKING ZONES
WHEREAS, Section 8 -26 of the Greencastle City Code lists the limited parking zones within
the City of Greencastle;
WHEREAS, currently, there are two spaces located on Franklin Street at the corner of
Indiana Street reserved for users and patrons of the Senior Center from 11:OOa.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday, and in fact, the spaces are needed from 10:00a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Monday
through Friday; and
WHEREAS the space reserved for the Red Cross on Indiana Street is no longer necessary due
to the Red Cross office being moved to the Courthouse Annex.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that
Section 8 -26, Schedule of Reserved Parking Spaces, is hereby amended to change the following
subsection:
A. The times listed in the subsection reserving two (2) spaces for the Senior Citizens Center
® shall be changed from "11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m." to "10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m."
B. The subsection reserving a space on Indiana Street for the Red Cross shall be deleted.
NOW THEREFORE be it further ordained that all other limited parking zones listed in
Section 8 -26 shall remain in full force and effect.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common
Council and its approval by the Mayor.
