RESOLUTION NO. 2008-159
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A DESIGN CHANGE ORDER FOR THE NORTH KING
STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT
WHEREAS, in June 1998, the Town awarded a contract to Paciulli & Simmons, Ltd. for
$100,000 to provide engineering services for a storm drainage design; and
WHEREAS, the original design contract value has previously been increased to $169,064 due
to extension and changes to the project requested by the Town; and
WHEREAS, an additional change order is required to provide geotechnical investigation and
utility and topographic updates; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Capital Projects Management recommends that this design
change order be approved for the work noted.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a change order to the contract with Paciulli & Simmons,
Ltd. in the amount of $26, 167 for providing the additional design and engineering services for this
project bringing the total design contract to $195,231.
