A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING FOR SPECIAL
EXCEPTION APPLICATION TLSE-2008-0011, MARGRET PAXTON
MEMORIAL LEARNING AND RESOURCE CAMPUS
WHEREAS, The ARC of Loudoun has requested special exception approval to permit the
development of a general education school and child care facility at 420 Wildman Street NE; and
WHEREAS, the proposed expansion is located in the R-l Single Family Residential Zoning District
and the H- I Overlay District; and
WHEREAS, Applicant has requested that Council of the Town of Leesburg consider a joint public
hearing; and
WHEREAS, the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice justify the
authorization of a joint public hearing in this case.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Pursuant to Chapter 22, Title 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, a notice that a special
exception application to permit the development of a general education school and child care facility at 420
Wildman Street NE, will be considered jointly by the Leesburg Town Council and the Leesburg Planning
Commission and shall be published in the Loudoun Times-Mirror on December 3,2008, and December
10, 2008, for a Joint Public Hearing to be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 in the Leesburg Town
Hall at 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia, 20176.
RESOLVED this 25th day of November. 2008.
