A RESOLUTION: CANCELLATION AND REMOVAL OF GOVERNORS DRIVE
DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT FROM THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Governors Drive Drainage Improvements project is a funded Capital
Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the Town received a petition from neighborhood residents; and
WHEREAS, the petition requested that the Town cancel the Governors Drive Drainage
Improvements Project and remove it from the Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the petition requested that the Town clean the existing system once a year instead
of performing the drainage improvements.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Governors Drive Drainage Improvements Project be cancelled and removed from the Capital
Improvement Program and the existing drainage system will be inspected annually and cleaned if
necessary .
