A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING A DOMINION VIRGINIA POWER RIGHT-OF-
WAY /EASEMENT AT IDA LEE PARK
WHEREAS, the Ida Lee Park Outdoor Pool is a funded capital project; and
WHEREAS, in order to operate the pool and building, it is necessary to provide electrical service to
the facilities; and
WHEREAS, Dominion Virginia Power has agreed to provide the electrical service; and
WHEREAS, Dominion Virginia Power has proposed to tap into the existing electrical service line
that runs between the Ida Lee Recreation Center and the indoor tennis facility; and
WHEREAS, the new transformer has been sized appropriately for the pool project and for the
planned future irrigation system at the soccer/lacrosse fields that is part of the Ida Lee Soccer/Lacrosse Field
No.3 project; and
WHEREAS, Dominion Virginia Power has requested that the town grant them a right of
way/easement to place their facilities; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends authorizing the right of way/easement for Dominion Virginia Power
in order to keep construction on schedule for the Ida Lee Outdoor Pool project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Mayor is
authorized to execute the Dominion Virginia Power right of way/easement for the installation ofthe
required electrical service to the Ida Lee Outdoor Pool project.
