A RESOLUTION:
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR $314,560 ($308,269 IN GRANT
FUNDS AND $6,291 IN LOCAL FUNDS) FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
SOUTH APRON EXPANSION PHASE I CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Airport South Apron Expansion Phase I project is an approved capital project in
the FY 2008-2012 CIP; and
WHEREAS, the project was originally funded at $1,183,880 as part of the FY 2008-2012 CIP; and
WHEREAS, the construction contract with Tessa Construction & Tech Company, LLC was
awarded on October 27,2008 by Resolution No. 2007-149; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the project is $1,498,440, including Construction Administration,
Construction Inspection, and physical construction; and
WHEREAS, the memorandum to Council and the resolution approving the construction contract
did not address an additional $314,560 needed to fully fund the project at $1,498,440; and
WHEREAS, the additional funding for the project includes 95% or $298,832 from the FAA, 3% or
$9,437 from the VDOA, and 2% or $6,291 oflocal funding; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the appropriation.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Lees burg in Virginia that a
supplemental appropriation in the amount of$314,560 ($6,291 in local funds) is approved for the South
Apron Expansion Phase I Capital Improvement Project.
