A RESOLUTION: EXTENDING THE TOWN OF LEEBURG HOLIDAY SCHEDULE TO
INCLUDE JANUARY 2, 2009; AND GRANTING THE TOWN
MANAGER THE AUTHORITY TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL
HOLlDA Y TIME FOR THE TOWN OF LEESBURG TO BE
CONSISTENT WITH THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA AND
THE COUNTY OF LOUDOUN
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the County of Loudoun have granted
January 2, 2009 as a paid holiday; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to have the Town of Leesburg holiday schedule
consistent with the Commonwealth of Virginia and the County of Loudoun; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires the Town Manager to have the authority to
approve additional holiday time off for Town employees when the offices of the Commonwealth
of Virginia and the County of Loudoun are both approved to be closed due to the holiday
schedule for that year.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The 2009 Holiday Schedule for the Town of Leesburg is hereby extended
to include the entire day of Friday, January 2, 2009.
SECTION II. The Town Council hereby grants the Town Manager the authority to
approve additional holiday time for town employees when the offices of the Commonwealth of
Virginia and the County of Loudoun are both approved to be closed due to the holiday schedule
for that year.
