RESOLUTION No. 2003-20
RESOLUTION TO APPROVING STREET NAME CHANGE FROM SEWELL TO
LILAC STREET IN TIFFIN, IOWA
WHEREAS the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa has been petitioned by the affected entities
residing on SEWELL Street requesting the street name be changed to Lilac Street; and
WHEREAS the Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed this request and
forwarded a favorable recommendation, and concurs with the selected name; and
WHEREAS the City has received no objections to the proposed name, and the City has
no other pertinent'or significant concerns related to public safety, traffic safety or the cost
of changing maps and street signs; now
THEREFORE, BE IT APPROVED that the City of Tiffin now changes the name of
Sewell Street to Lilac State Street, effective on June 11,2003, and
FURTHERMORE, BE IT APPROVED that the City Council directs the City Clerk to
post notices, and .publish a public notice informing the public of this action, and to direct
work to secure new traffic signs and inform all applicable governmental units of the street
name change.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 11`}' day of June, 2002.
