MEMORIALIZING aPPROVED SETTLEMENTS IN LITIGATION
MATTERS OF PEREZ v. BOROUGH AND PBA LOCAL 47
v. BOROUGH AND aUTHORIZING CLERK TO EXECUTE
ORDER OF SETTLEMENT IN MATTER OF PBa v. BOROUGH
WHEREAS, currently outstanding are two litigation matters
perez v. Borough of Carteret, Docket #L-9608-92 and pBA
V. Borough of Carteret, Docket #92-05146 (JLC);
WHEREAS, counsel involved in said litigation appointed by the
Borough's insurance carrier has recommended settlement to the
two matters at a combined sum of $130,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Council has approved these offers of
settlement in a Closed session called for that purpose on
January 24, 1996;
NOW, THEREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough Council
hereby memorializes the approved settlements previously voted
upon and authorizes the Borough Clerk to execute the order
of settlement in pBA Local 47 v. Borough of Carteret attached
hereto.
Adopted this 1st day of February, 1996
and certified as a true copy of the
original on February 2, 1996.
