A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A GRANT
AGREEMENT WITH THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION FOR THE
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTH APRON HANGAR PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Executive Airport Master Plan was adopted on May 11, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Master Plan identified development of the South Apron area to
include new aircraft hangars; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Aviation has issued a grant to the Leesburg
Executive Airport for design and construction of site preparation for the South Apron Hangar project;
and
WHEREAS, an administrative agreement is required between the Town of Leesburg and the
Virginia Department of Aviation to enable completion of the project in the amount of$816,705.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute the attached Grant Agreement for design and construction of
site preparation for the South Apron Hangar project, subject to the County of Loudoun Board of
Supervisors' vote on February 3, 2009, to maintain the aircraft personal property tax at $O.OI/hundred
of assessed value.
