City of TIFFIN, Iowa ' HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN j July 2002 RESOLUTION ADOPTING HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN Resolution No. -2 c6Z - Z D A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA ADOPTING A HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN FOR TIFFIN, IOWA WHEREAS, theCity Council of Tiffin, Iowa, have authorized the development of a Hazard Mitigation Plan for Tiffin; and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held in the City Hall for the purposes of obtaining citizen input on the Hazard Mitigation Plan. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa, herewith adopts said plan, incorporating citizen comment and recommendations. Pur C ose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Ordinance No. , of the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, so as to increase the requirements of the'minimum front yard setback requirements for certain properties abutting U.S. Highway 6 beginning at the . east line of Main Street to a point 233 feet, more or less, west of the iriiersectlon with Roberts Ferry Road and Highway Six. Section 2. Amendment. City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1-1-42,84,."44,1& following language is repealed as it, appears under each zoning classification wherein the minimum yard requirements are stated: t ,MINIMUM YARD REQUIREMENTS: { "Any lot adjacent to U.S. Highway 6, in any way, shall be required'to have a twenty foot setback in addition to the minimum yard requirement stated herein." A The following language shall be inserted in lieu thereof: MINIMUM YARD REQUIREMENTS: "Any lot adjacent to U.S. Highway 6, in any way, shall be required to have a twenty foot setback in addition`to the minimum yard requirement ,3 stated herein, except those properties that are .located adjacent to Highway 6 beginning .at the east he of Main' Street to a point 233 feet, more or less, west of the intersection with Roberts Ferry `Road and ' Highway Six, which shall be required to have a thirty-two foot setback, in ' addition to the minimum yard requirement stated herein. Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. -Section 4:Seve ability. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance'shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a'whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. 1 Document?
