A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A $2,000 SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION TO
THOMAS BALCH LIBRARY FY 2009 OPERATING BUDGET FOR
CREATION OF A DVD ON THE HISTORY OF LEESBURG.
WHEREAS, the Thomas Balch Library has received a grant of$10,000 from Loudoun
Laurels Founders', INOV A, for preserving and enhancing its Oral History Collection; and
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation of $2,000 from the grant is needed to issue a
purchase order to reimburse Matthew Exline for services and expenses, including oral history
interviews, to complete the Leesburg Documentary project;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY 2009 budget of the Thomas Balch Library is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in
the amount of $2,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1,2008 and ending June 30, 2009 for
creating a Leesburg Documentary DVD presenting the history of Leesburg for training and
marketing.
