RESOLUTION:
AWARDING THE CATOCTIN CIRCLE/DRY MILL ROAD TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Catoctin Circle/Dry Mill Road Traffic Signal Installation is a funded
Capital Project; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for bids for the construction of the Catoctin
Circle/Dry Mill Road Traffic Signal Installation, the Town received bids on March 19,2009, from
the following firms:
. B&B Signal Company, LLC
$155,120.20
. The Brothers Signal Company
$155,807.20; and
WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated by the Assistant Director of the Department of Capital
Projects Management and the Chief Purchasing Officer in accordance with the Town's Purchasing
Policy; and
WHEREAS, B&B Signal Company, LLC was determined to be the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, this is a unit price contract; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funding is available to award this contract; and
WHEREAS, the Assistant Director of Capital Projects Management recommends awarding
this construction contract to B&B Signal Company, LLC, in the amount of$155,120.20 for
construction of the Catoctin Circle/Dry Mill Road Traffic Signal Installation project.

A RESOLUTION: A WARDING THE CATOCTIN CIRCLE/DRY MILL ROAD TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, with
B&B Signal Company, LLC, in the amount of$155,120.20 for the construction of the Catoctin
Circle/Dry Mill Road Traffic Signal Installation project.
PASSED this 14th day of April 2009.
