A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A DESIGN
CHANGE ORDER FOR THE SOUTH KING STREET WIDENING
PROJECT
WHEREAS, in October 1999, the Town awarded a contract to Paciulli Simmons & Associates
for $360,664.10 to provide engineering services for the design of widening of South King Street from
near Evergreen Mill Road to just south of the corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the original design contract value has previously been increased to $474,599.35
due to changes to the project and additional services requested by the Town; and
WHEREAS, an additional change order is required to design the project to meet new and
updated design requirements and for other design changes requested by the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Capital Projects Management recommends that this design
change order be approved for the work noted.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute a change order to the contract with Paciulli Simmons &
Associates in the amount of $200,605.00 for providing the additional design and engineering
services for this project bringing the total design contract to $675,204.35.
