Lisa Haley and Mike Bruckner Join the Town of Leesburg as
Management Analysts
Leesburg, VA (September 12, 2012) –Town of Leesburg officials announced today that Lisa
Haley and Mike Bruckner have been hired as Management Analysts in the Town’s Finance
Department.
Lisa Haley began with the Town on September 4, 2012. Ms.
Haley has eight years’ experience as a management analyst in
support of the Federal Government. She took a hiatus from
federal contracting while her children were in grade school.
During that time, she worked as a preschool teacher at
Heaven Sent Christian Preschool and as an instructor for the
Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department. A Town of
Leesburg-area resident since 1996, Lisa holds a bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration from James Madison
University and an MBA from George Mason University.
Mike Bruckner will start work for the Town on September 17, 2012.
He is currently a Management Assistant for the City of Anaheim
(CA) Finance Department, and has prior municipal experience with
the cities of Santa Rosa (CA), La Palma (CA) and Philadelphia (PA).
During his tenure in Anaheim, Mr. Bruckner served as program
manager for a citywide mayoral initiative called Hi Neighbor, a
neighborhood based community outreach and awareness
campaign designed to promote the importance of community
building, community policing, and emergency preparedness. Mike
holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Sonoma State
University and a Master’s in Governmental Administration from the
University of Pennsylvania, in addition to a certificate in Public Finance from the Fels Institute of
Government. Mike and his fiancée Melissa will relocate from California to Leesburg.
In their new positions, Lisa and Mike will be focusing their attention on working with the Town
Manager, Director of Finance, the other department directors and senior managers on

developing the two-year FY 2014-2015 budget and other management research and analyses as
needed. The two management analyst positions became available when Bob Berkey was
promoted to Finance Operations Manager and Annie Carlson became the Town’s Information
Technology Manager.
