RESOLUTION NO. 2009-080
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S PLAN TO
UTILIZE THE FY09 JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) IN
THE AMOUNT OF $14,186 FOR THE PURRCHASE OF
MOBILE COMPUTERS FOR POLICE VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice under its Fiscal Year 2009
budget has awarded a grant allocation to the Town of Leesburg for certain public safety
uses in the amount of $14, 186; and
WHEREAS the Leesburg Police Department has identified specific equipment
purchases to enhance the Police Department's effectiveness by equipping police vehicles
with Mobile computers.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
that the plan to utilize the FY09 JAG Award for the purchase of mobile computers is
hereby approved and the Town Manager and Police Chief are authorized to submit the
necessary applications.
PASSED this 14th day of July 2009.
