A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR ADOPTING THE 2009
INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE, 2009 INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE, 2009
INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, 2009 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY
I MAINTENANCE CODE, AND 2009 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE
Whereas, The City finds it necessary to -adopt more current international codes, and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin requests public comments regarding the
adopting of these codes;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the public
hearing date for January 23, 2013 regarding adopting the 2009 International Fire Code, 2009
International Mechanical Code, 2009 International Plumbing Code, 2009lhternational Fuel
Gas Code, and 2009 International Property Maintenance Code.
On the 9th day of January, 2013, at ar regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2013-008, A RESOLUTION SETTING A
DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR ADOPTING THE 2009 INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS
CODE, 2009 INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE, 2009 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING
_CODE, 2009 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, AND 2009
INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Upton.
Ayes: Phillips, Upton, Bartels, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: none
Absent: none
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-008, A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR
PUBLIC HEARING FOR ADOPTING THE 2009 INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE, 2009
INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE; 2009 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, 2009
INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, AND 2009 INTERNATIONAL FIRE
CODE to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 9th day of January, 2013.
