A RESOLUTION TERMINATING THE 28E AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF CORALVILLE, IA FOR NONRESIDENTIAL INSPECTIONS
Whereas, The City has a current 28E Agreement that was filed in June 2008 between
the City of Coralville and the City of Tiffin regarding the provision of nonresidential
building inspections for the City of Tiffin, and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that as of 01/01/13 the City of
Tiffin has hired a part-time Building Inspector that is certified to handle all inspections for
the City of Tiffin;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa that the City
Administrator/Clerk has authority to send notice to the Mayor of Coralville to terminate
the 28E Agreement effective June 30, 2013 between the City of Coralville and the City
of Tiffin for nonresidential inspections.
On the 23rd day of January, 2013, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2013-010, A RESOLUTION
TERMINATING THE 28E AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF CORALVILLE, IA FOR
NONRESIDENTIAL INSPECTIONS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded
by Councilperson Kahler.
Ayes: Kahler, Bartels, Upton, Phillips
Nays: None.
Absent: Ryan
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-010, A RESOLUTION TERMINATING THE
28E AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF CORALVILLE, IA FOR NONRESIDENTIAL
INSPECTIONS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his
signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 23rd day of January, 2013.
