Arts in the Village Gallery Celebrates Grand Opening with
Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, September 22, 2012
Leesburg, VA (September 18, 2012) – At noon on Saturday, September 22, 2012, Town of
Leesburg officials will celebrate the grand opening of the new “Arts in the Village” gallery at the
Village at Leesburg with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Kristen Umstattd will officiate. Arts
in the Village is located at 1601 Village Market Boulevard, Suite 116, in the Village at Leesburg
town center development.
Arts in the Village is the result of a collaboration between the Loudoun Arts Council and the
Village at Leesburg to create a place for local artists to display and sell their work. The new
gallery is a 2,100 square foot cooperative space that will showcase more than twenty of
Loudoun’s most innovative visual artists, photographers and artisans.
The gallery’s grand opening will begin with an Opening Night Reception on Friday, September
21st, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The reception will feature live acoustic music, an artist meet-
and-greet, refreshments, a gallery raffle and prizes. On Saturday, September 22nd, the grand
opening celebration will continue with the ribbon cutting ceremony at noon, and run through
9:00pm with more live music, opportunities to meet the arts and door prizes awarded
throughout the day. The grand opening weekend will conclude on Sunday, September 23rd,
with the gallery open from noon to 6:00pm, and artist demonstrations throughout the day.
