RESOLUTION NO.: 2010-033 ADOPTED: March 23, 2010
A RESOLUTION: TO ENDORSE THE CONCEPT OF A WAIVER OF ASSOCIATED TOWN
COSTS FOR THE LOUDOUN CARES/LOUDOUN FREE CLINIC
TRIATHLON, WITH A FINAL DECISION TO BE MADE ONCE COSTS
AND IMPACTS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED.
WHEREAS, the local non-profits Loudoun Cares and the Loudoun Free Clinic are proposing
a triathlon event to be held July 11, 2010 utilizing Ida Lee Park and portions of town streets: and
WHEREAS, the event organizers have requested that all associated Town fees for this event
be waived: and
WHEREAS, the actual fees for the event and any associated impacts to Town residents and
business will not be known until a race route is submitted.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Leesburg Town Council endorses the concept of a waiver of the associated Town costs for the
Loudoun Cares/Loudoun Free Clinic Triathlon, with a final decision to be made once the costs and
impacts to Town residents and businesses have been identified.
