HomeMy Public PortalAboutBuilding & Needs Assessment -- 2009-03-11 MinutesBuilding Needs & Assessment Committee March 11, 2009 Call to order Herb Montgomery called to order the regular meeting of the Brewster Building Needs & Assessment Committee at 7:30pm on March 11, 2009 in Brewster Town Hall. Roll call The following persons were present: Herb Montgomery, Robert Miller, Charles Sumner, Don Poole, Richard Kosinski Approval of Minutes The minutes of December 10, 2008 were approved as written. The January 2009 meeting was cancelled due to lack of a quorum and there was no February 2009 meeting. Captains Golf Course Pavilion - HVAC Bob Miller gave an update on the Pavilion HVAC project. The project has gone well and the contractor has been responsive. The only problem is that the duct work on the easterly portion of the building is somewhat unsightly due to the mass of duct work. However the project is almost complete. They expect to finish the work and start the equipment within 2 weeks. Town Hall HVAC Project RISE engineering is finally making good progress on the plans and specifications for the new HVAC system for the Town Hall. We have received draft plans and specifications. Town Counsel has reviewed the frontend documents. Bart Bales from RISE will visit Town Hall on Friday March 13, 2009 for a field review. Town Facilities Re-utilization Project Charlie Sumner and Bob Miller provided a brief overview of the proposed town facilities reutilization plan. Essentially the school population will be consolidated into the Stony Brook School, Town Offices and COA will relocate to the Eddy School, the Historic Society will occupy the Qld Town Hall, (current COA Building) and the current Town Office building will be sold to the Charter Light House School. Bob Miller presented an outline document related to Stony Brook Space needs analysis. Herb Montgomery also presented a copy of the committees report for 2008. Herb Montgomery asked if Doreen could put a notice in the newspaper seeking new volunteers for the BNAC. The next committee meeting is scheduled for April 8, 2009.
