A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A CIVIL ENGINEERING CONTINUING SERVICES
CONTRACT FOR UTILITY SPECIFIC PROJECTS TO HAZEN AND
SAWYER, P.C.
WHEREAS, six proposals were. received in response to a solicitation for Civil
Engineering Continuing Services for Utility Specific Projects; and
WHEREAS, all proposals were evaluated by a selection committee in accordance with
the requirements of the Town's Purchasing Policy and the Request for Proposals; and
WHEREAS, Hazen and Sawyer, P.C., of Fairfax, Virginia was the highest ranked firm by
the Town's selection committee; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Engineering Continuing Services contract for Utility Specific
Projects will be for an initial period of one (1) year and renewable for up to four (4) additional
consecutive periods of one (1) year; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Engineering Continuing Services are to be provided on a project-
by-project basis with each task order not to exceed $100,000 and total aggregate amount of task
orders shall not exceed $500,000 per year; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities and the Chief Purchasing Officer recommend
awarding the contract for Civil Engineering Continuing Services for Utility Specific Projects to
Hazen and Sawyer, P.C
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract in a form approved by the Town
