Roll call The following persons were present: Herb Montgomery, Robert Miller, Charles Sumner, Don Poole, Richard Kosinski, Paul Bradford Approval of Minutes The minutes of March 11, 2009 were reviewed and approved as written. Captains Golf Course Pavilion -HVAC Bob Miller gave a report of the Pavilion HVAC project. The project is largely done, simply awaiting an inspection by the electrical and gas inspectors. There was an emergency response by Fire Department relative to a gas odor event. National Grid and the manufacture representative reviewed the installation and situation; everything seemed to be fine. The Town is still awaiting a final authorization from the architect before we make a final payment to the installer. Town Hall HVAC Proiect Herb, Bob, Jillian and Charlie met today to review the engineer's progress on the plans and specifications. While the project has been advertised for bid, it was decided to cancel the procurement. This will give the town an opportunity to fully review the bid package for accuracy. In addition Town Counsel will then have a reasonable opportunity to review the front-end information. A few of the committee members will meet Saturday morning at 8:00 am to review the plans in more detail. Since we also have missed the opportunity to go back to Town Meeting for additional funding possibly we should eliminate the alternatives for the ground-source heat pump and the solar panel solutions. Due to the delays caused by the engineer, we missed the opportunity to get a solid bid to present to town meeting. It would be a waste of the installers' time to bid on alternates that have no opportunity or funds for construction. Therefore it was moved by Don Poole and seconded by Richard Kosinski to recommend that the town not pursue bid alternates. Town Facilities Re-utilization Plan Charlie Sumner presented a preliminary floor and site plan for the addition to the Stony Brook School that was prepared by Steve Shuman from ARKO Architects. This plan addresses the space programming needs of the School Department. It is a one story, and contains relatively cost effective construction standards. Greg Levasseur and Charlie Sumner will be presenting this plan to the School Department on April 15, 2009.
