Roll call The following persons were present: Herb Montgomery, Robert Miller, Charles Sumner, Richard Kosinski, Greg Levasseur, Ed Lewis, Patrick Welch, Victor Staley, Don Schober, Dennis Hanson, Daniel Guertin, Keith Gauley, Richard Hoffmann, David Telman,Nick Devoe Patrick Welch from TLCR presented an updated building program which identified several deficiencies with the original program. The square footage of the addition increased from 11,000 to 12,823. The DOE school regulates require classrooms 900 square feet. They are also one using a 30% circulation factor verses 25%. Patrick is using approximately$200 per square feet. He also presented 6 separate schemes. They are also using the existing hallway for the connection to the existing school rather than impacting existing facilities. There is an error in the circulation calculation factor, which Patrick will correct and send down for distribution. Keith Gauley suggested a different plan to have 8 classrooms or 2 grade levels in the addition versus 6 classrooms. This will require another meeting with Denis Fronuis to see if we can reallocate existing spaces to accommodate this modified concept. Greg Levasseur suggested eliminating excess interior circulation or corridor spaces, as well as, sky light. He is also concerned about clear story windows on the north elevations. Does the new addition need an emergency power system? It was generally thought that this was not necessary. Greg Levasseur suggested a quick meeting with staff early next week to evaluate a few new schemes. Another meeting next week on July 15, 2009 will be a necessity. Town Hall HVAC The bids for the project came in very high, so RISE is obligated to redesign the project. There is a meeting scheduled next Monday to review alternatives. Adiournment Herb Montgomery adjourned the meeting. - BNAC Minutes 7-8-2009 Page 1 of 1
