Call to Order
Bob Miller called to order the regular meeting of the Brewster Building Needs &
Assessment Committee at 7:30 pm on August 19, 2009 in Brewster Town Hall.

Stony Brook Elementary School Addition Proiect ~~_y
Patrick Welch from TLCR brought a set of plans as they exist currently.
They anticipate there plans will be at the 90% stage by Friday August 28, 2009, thega
would like to meet with the committee next week. Greg Levasseur suggested August
26, 2009 after the Development Plan Review Committee. Member needed to check
schedules before we could finalize the next meeting time and date. If this approach
fails we will simply meet on Wednesday evening.
Unfortunately the existing water main will have to be removed and relocated. This
line serves for fire protection services. The existing line is an A/C pipe which will
require special handling and disposal. This will be cost that we had not anticipated.
We will also include a new gravel fire lane for building protection purposes.
SAR needs to spend more time evaluating the water feed for the building sprinkler
system. A flow test may be a necessity.
We will evaluate the installation of a retaining wall or a grading plan to save the
Whitecaps Garage.
There was a lengthy discussion about relocating cabinets from the Eddy School to the
Stony Brook addition. This expanded into a discussion about the actual general
contractor completion date. This discussion leads to a conclusion that a contractor
completion date of September 30, 2010. The Town could consider hiring a separate
contractor to re-install the old cabinets.
Town Hall HVAC
Greg Levasseur stated that the bids for Town Hall HVAC will be opened on August
27, 2009 at 3:00 pm.
The next meeting will be on August 26, 2009 at 4:00 pm.
