A RESOLUTION: MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE THOMAS BALCH LIBRARY ADVISORY
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards, commissions and
committees is vital to the success of town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards, commissions and committees serve an indispensable role in providing
recommendations concerning town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and pleasure on
these advisory boards; and
WHEREAS, certain council members terms have expired and have been re-elected.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Council hereby re-appoints James Roberts to a term ending June 30, 2012.
SECTION II. The Council hereby appoints James Hershman, Jr. and Joan Rokus to terms ending
on June 30, 2014.
SECTION III. The Council hereby appoints Robert Hodge to a term ending June 30, 2014.
