A RESOLUTION: APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FY 2011 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET, AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR
$72,531 AWARDED THROUGH GRANTS RECEIVED BY THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM US DEPARTMENT OF
JUSTICE
WHEREAS, the US Department of Justice through the 2009 Recovery Act Edward
Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) has awarded a grant to the Leesburg
Police Department in the amount of $58,345 to fund apart-time crime analyst for three
years, and
WHEREAS, the US Department of Justice through the FY09 Edward Byrne
Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) has awarded a grant to the Leesburg Police
Department in the amount of $14,186 to fund enhancements to the department's mobile
computer program.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2011 General Fund Budget is hereby amended and an
appropriation is made in the amount of $72,531 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010
and ending June 30, 2011, as follows to include the adjusted totals to the categories and
accounts of the funds listed below:
a. From the US Department of Justice through the 2009 Recovery Act Edward
Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) has awarded a grant to the
Leesburg Police Department in the amount of $58,345 to fund apart-time crime
analyst for three years.
