RESOLUTION NO. 2010-095 ADOPTED July 13, 2010
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR THE SALE AND
CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BY LICENSED
ESTABLISHMENTS IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO A DESIGNATED
AREA OF THE TOWN GREEN
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on July 13, 2010 to consider an amendment to
Chapter 24, Article V, Division 1, Section 24-184 of the Town Code of Leesburg to authorize the
provision of alcoholic beverages by licensed establishments adjacent to the azea known as the Town
Green; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council approved amending the above listed section of the Town
Code of Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Agreement was developed to set forth the rules and
procedures regazding the distribution and consumption of alcoholic beverages in an outdoor
designated azea on public property known as the Town Green which lies adjacent to the Leesburg
Town Hall and borders West Mazket Street.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement concerning the use of
Town Green for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages by adjacent licensed
establishments and shall be in substantial confomtance with the Memorandum of Agreement as per
[he Town Code.
