Larry Greeley reports that The Camera Company is now in the second phase of its work. The probable equipment items in the second phase include: • Tightrope -- software plus hazdware • 3 robotic cameras to replace the 3 cameras now in use which aze borrowed from the Anycast system • Carousel software which converts video into computer files Larry remarks that Kathy Lambert (the IT person) is getting more interested and positive about the government TV channel activities and equipment. Larry mentions that the LCCC will be meeting this Friday, 6 November 2009, and that in the most recent LCCC meeting there was a lot of discussion about the desire of Comcast to close the Orleans studio on January 1 which seemed to the LCCC members to be not realistic. There is general discussion about the LCCC negotiations and about the closing of the community access studio. There is general agreement that as soon as a contract with Comcast is signed then there will be many actions needed quite quickly, including: • The nonprofit organization which has been visualized as managing the joint (the LCCC towns) community access studio -- which is anticipated to be constructed in space at the Nauset Regional High School -- must be defined and must be established. • The details of the transition from the present community access studio in Orleans to something else for the interim period before the final studio is available need to be defined, as does "the something else". • The plans for the necessary changes in the space that has been made available in the Nauset Regional High School will have to be finalized and approved, and construction contracts for that work will have to be negotiated and approved, and the required work will have to be done, all on a very tight schedule. Independent of any new contract with Comcast, in regazd to the government TV channel for which an employee must be identified and hired, the Boazd of Selectmen will have to advertise for such an employee and the details of that advertisement will have to be settled. There is general agreement that the next meeting of this committee should occur on the standazd schedule, to wit, on the first Tuesday of December at 7 PM. The meeting seems to be out of other business to be taken up tonight. A motion to adjourn is made by Janet Husband and seconded by Walter Powers. The motion is passed unanimously. The meeting is adjourned at 8:37 PM. Submitted by Norman Adams, Clerk, Brewster CTVAC t," .t ~ ~ ~
