A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A $20,000 SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION TO
LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT FY2011 OPERATIONS BUDGET
TO PRESENT AN AIR SHOW DURING THE ANNUAL OPEN
HOUSE
WHEREAS, the Town Council appropriated $25,000 for the Leesburg Executive Airport
to host an air show as part of it annual open house on October 23, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council decided air show expenditures will be supported solely
by donations and grants; and
WHEREAS, donations of $27,900 has been received to date, the Virginia Department of
Aviation has approved a grant for $8,476 for advertising, the County is planning to donate
$5,000 for hospitality services, and additional donations are expected [o increase air show
revenue to approximately $45,000.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
that [he FY 2011 operations budge[ for the Airport Fund is hereby amended and an appropriation
is made in the amount of $20,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010 ending June 3Q, 2011
for expenditures supported by donations and grants to host an air show as part of the annual
Leesburg Executive Airport open house on October 23, 2010.
