A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2011-2015 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
PROGRAM BY CREATING A PROJECT AND APPROVING A
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF
THE TURN LANES ON SYCOLIN ROAD AT TAV (STOCK DRNE
WHEREAS, Loudoun County will be opening [he Philip A. Bolen Park in the Fall of 2010; and
WHEREAS, based on a traffic study performed by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for Loudoun
County, mm lanes are warranted a[ Sycolin Road at Tavistock Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Town requested and received $300,000 in funding from Loudoun County; and
WHEREAS, [he Town has a contract with AECOM Inc. to design the widening of Sycolin Road;
and
WHEREAS, the Town can expedite the project utilizing the existing contract with AECOM Inc.; and
~- WHEREAS, the balance of [he Town funding for [he project, in [he amount of $300,000 will be
included as part of the Fiscal Year 2012 Capital Improvement Program budge[.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by [he Council of [he Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Fiscal Year
201 I-2015 Capital Improvements Program Streets is hereby amended and a project is added with an
appropriation of $300,000 from Loudoun CounTy, for [he fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010 ending June 30,
2011 to begin design and construction for [he [urn lane improvements.
