A RESOLUTION ELIMINATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS PART-TIME POSITION AND
CREATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS FULL-TIME POSITION WITH MEDICAL AND DENTAL
BENEFITS.
Whereas, it is in the best interest of the City of Tiffin that the current, part-time Public
Works position be eliminated and replaced with a new, full-time Public Works position with
medical and dental benefits, and;
Whereas, a full-time Public Works employee is needed to cover the hours and manpower
required for Pubic Works and that having said full-time Public Works employee would be a
benefit to the City overall;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the current
part-time Public Works position is eliminated and replaced with a full-time Public Works
position with medical and dental benefits, effective as of the 8th of April, 2013.
WHEREUPON, On the 27th day of February 2013, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City
Council, Tiffin, Iowa. Councilperson Kahler introduced Resolution No. 2013-025 and made a
motion for A RESOLUTION ELIMINATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS PART-TIME POSITION
AND CREATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS FULL-TIME POSITION WITH MEDICAL AND
DENTAL BENEFITS. Motion seconded by Council person Ryan.
Ayes: Phillips, Upton, Bartels, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: None
Absent: None
With five votes of approval, Mayor Berner declared that the Resolution No. 2013-025, A
RESOLUTION ELIMINATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS PART-TIME POSITION AND
CREATING ONE PUBLIC WORKS FULL-TIME POSITION WITH MEDICAUDENTAL
BENEFITS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature
thereto.
Passed by the City Council on -the 27th day of February 2013 and approved by the Mayor.
