AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2011 -2015 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM BY CREATING A PROJECT AND
APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR
ACQUISITION OF A PROPERTY TO IMPROVE ACCESS FROM THE
LINDEN HILL DEVELOPMENT TO ROUTE 15 SOUTH KING STREET
NORTHBOUND
WHEREAS, the Town Council is extending an offer of $375,000 for the purchase of the
property at 1 Country Club Drive in Leesburg for the improvement of access to Route 15 South
King Street for the subdivision known as Linden Hill; and
WHEREAS, $100,000 in Capital Projects Fund cash is available in the FY 2011 Capital
Improvements Program budget for transfer to the Linden Hills project; and
WHEREAS, the Town has $275,000 in available funds in the General Fund undesignated
fund balance.
ACCORDINGLY, the Town of Leesburg offer to purchase 1 Country Club Drive at
$375,000 will be extended until January 1, 2011. A written acceptance by the property owners,
Bank of America, and HSAA must be received by January 1, 2011. Closing must take place by
January 17, 2011. Failure of the property owner, Bank of America, and HSAA to provide written
acceptance will terminate the obligation of the Town of Leesburg to purchase the property.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Fiscal Year 2011 -2015 Capital Improvements Program Streets, Highways, Buildings and Grounds
is hereby amended and a project is added with a supplemental appropriation in the amount of
$275,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010 ending June 30, 2011 to acquire property for an
access road.
