RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -010 ADOPTED January 25, 2011
A RESOLUTION: OPPOSING SB 1475
WHEREAS, Virginia State Senator Mark Herring and Virginia Delegate Joe May have
sponsored and support legislation that is contrary to the best interests of the Town of Leesburg and
its residents by submitting the following proposed legislation for consideration to the Virginia
Senate:
15.2 2119.2. Fees and charges for sewer services to out of town customers.
In addition to all requirements related to rates, fees, and charges set forth in general or
special law, the percentage differential between the rates, fees, and charges imposed by the Town of
Leesburg for sewer services to customers located outside of its municipal limits and the rates, fees,
and charges imposed by the Town of Leesburg for sewer services to customers within its municipal
limits shall not be increased from the percentage differential existing as of January 1, 2011, unless
otherwise agreed to by resolution passed by a majority vote of the governing body of Loudoun
County.

A RESOLUTION: OPPOSING SB1475
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Council opposes the legislation above as sponsored by Virginia State Senator Mark Herring
(Patron) and Virginia State Delegate Joe May (Co- Patron):
