COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
Meeting Minutes
April 22, 2009
Chairman Paul Hush called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM.
Members present were; Jeanne Boehm, Roy Robinson, Elizabeth Taylor, Roland Bassett Jr., Paul
Ruchinskas, Paul Hush, and Elliott Carr.
1. Approval of Minutes of April 8, 2009 as corrected
Motion by Elizabeth Taylor to approve
Second by Paul Ruchinskas
VOTE 6-0-0
2. Review and discuss CPC Town Meeting articles
Tennis Court $250,000.00
Crosby Mansion $125,000.00
Cemetery Project $ 5,000.00
Administrative $44,000.00
State match less than 35%, change in available funds
Uncertainty at TM regarding Tennis Court and Skyline project
MOTION by Elliot Carr to investigate temporary signs for projects particularly financed by CPC.
(Marilyn will do this). Second by Roy Robinson. VOTE: 5-0-0.
3. Review Project Application form
CutofF dates; July 1 for November Town Meeting
Dec 1 for May Town Meeting
"rolling" applications still in effect
Application File Copy will be time stamped by Town Clerk from now on
Elizabeth Taylor will continue to work on revision of application wording and bring to next
meeting for final review.
4. Update on Latham Project and Cape Ren
Latham- contract with Town and Housing Authority, regarding the site, has been signed.
Architectural drawings are done
Project moving along
Comprehensive Permit process will start soon
Cape Rep- starting work- will send bills
Raised $500,000.
Must give source of $500,000.

5. Further discussion of Brewster Woods project (Housin4 Authority
• Neither Board of Selectmen nor Town Administrator were aware of the $1,000,000. request
from CPC
Would take all available housing funds for the next few years
• 12 sources of funding- could these be revisited and lower request to CPC to a "more realistic"
number
• Suggest talking more and present a different figure
• No submission made yet
