RESOLUTION NO. 2011-020 ADOPTED February 23, 2011
A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $5,000.00
RESULTING FROM A DONATION FROM GREATER LOUDOUN
BABE RUTH FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A
BATTING CAGE AT ROBINSON PARK
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation staff has made improvements to the
condition of the infield at Robinson Park; and
WHEREAS, to compliment those improvements, the Town has received a donation in the
amount of $5,000.00 from Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth for a batting cage to further improve the
facility; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends acceptance of this donation, and Council approval to incorporate
the funds into the Parks and Recreation Department budget; and
WHEREAS, this action will have no impact or additional cost to the Town.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2011 Budget is hereby amended, and an appropriation is made in the
amount of $5,000.00 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2011.
SECTION II. The Parks and Recreation Department budget is amended in the amount of
$5,000.00.
