A RESOLUTION: INITIATING AMENDMENTS TO VARIOUS ARTICLES AND SECTIONS
OF THE LEESBURG SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS AND DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS
MANUAL TO MAKE CHANGES NECESSARY TO COMPLY WITH
ANNUAL STATE LEGISLATIVE CHANGES, ADDRESS DEVELOPMENT
APPLICATION TYPES, INACTIVE APPLICATIONS, AND SUNSET
PROVISIONS FOR APPROVED SITE PLANS AND PROVIDE APPROVAL
AUTHORITY FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLANS
WHEREAS, the reallocation of staff from the Department of Plan Review to Capital Projects
Management (CPM) places the responsibility for review and approval of Capital Improvement Plans on
CPM; and
WHEREAS, compliance with annual state legislative changes is necessary; and
WHEREAS, the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require review of land use
manuals from time to time.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that:
SECTION 1. Amendments to the Subdivision and Land Development Regulations and the
Design and Construction Standards Manual are hereby initiated and referred to the Planning Commission.
SECTION 2. The Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing to consider these
amendments report its recommendation to Town Council pursuant to Chapter 22, Title 15.2 -2204 of the
1950 Code of Virginia, as amended.
