RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -050 ADOPTED April 26, 2011
A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FY 2011 GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET
AND MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $100,000 TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT FOR THE TENNIS CENTER
WHEREAS, Tennis Center professionals are paid bonus and commission for providing
private tennis lessons to Tennis Center patrons; and
WHEREAS, the cost of professionals providing private lessons is estimated to be
$100,000 more than the original Tennis Center budget; and
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $100,000 is needed to pay for
the cost of private lessons provided by Tennis Center professionals; and
WHEREAS, additional revenue collected for the private lessons is sufficient to cover the
$100,000 in additional professional tennis instructor costs.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY2011 General Fund Operating Budget is hereby amended and a supplemental appropriation is
made in the amount of $100,000 for the Parks and Recreation Department Tennis Center for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2011.
