RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -053 ADOPTED May 10, 2011
A RESOLUTION: PROVIDING TOWN COUNCIL SUPPORT TO EXPAND THE EXISTING
LIMITED ACCESS BREAK FOR THE EDWARDS FERRY ROAD AT
ROUTE 15 BYPASS RIGHT TURN LANE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, by Resolution the Council of the Town of Leesburg found and determined that
it was necessary to construct a street improvement project at the intersection of Edwards Ferry Road
and the Route 15 Bypass; and
WHEREAS, the Route 15 Bypass is a limited access highway; and
WHEREAS, the street improvement project requires an expansion of the existing Edwards
Ferry Road break in the limited access highway line along the Route 15 Bypass; and
WHEREAS, any expansion of a limited access line break requires Commonwealth
Transportation Board approval; and
WHEREAS, for this approval, the Commonwealth Transportation Board requires the
locality show support by resolution for any change in the limited access line.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
support is given to expand the limited access line break on Route 15 Bypass at Edwards Ferry Road
to include this street improvement project.
